    The County has started a website to get input on the redevelopment of the Marina. If you want a voice in what (and what does NOT) get built in the Marina, please visit http://www.envisionmdr.com. You can comment on ideas, post your own, vote for what you feel is important, etc. Some may feel this site is just a sop to those who are a bit miffed at mega projects like the Shores and it won’t have any impact on what actually happens but you never know and it’s worth a few minutes of your time. http://www.envisionmdr.com/

    My daughter, Kelly Akashi, a graduate of Otis College of Art and Design, who grew up in the Silver Strand is having her first solo art show beginning today Jan 31. It is a small series of digital drawings, titled “Silver Strand” and is inspired by this area in which we live. It will be up until Feb 16 and all neighbors are welcome. Here is the link:
