Our favorite go to restaurant is Tlapazola on Venice Blvd just north of Abbot Kinney.
They have created a great following simply by word of mouth. It originally started as a tiny little place on Lincoln Blvd that was so small. The service is personal and they make their customers feel welcome. The food is great and priced reasonably considering the quality. Now that they have a full liquor license, they make killer margaritas also.

Beechwood is one of our favorite hidden restaurants in MDR on Washington. The food is fresh, with an updated menu. We also like the atmosphere. The price range is moderate, and you can bring your own bottle of wine with a corkage fee.

  3. One of our favorites is Sapori in Fisherman’s Village (310) 821-1740. The menu is
sophisticated Italian, i.e. not spaghetti and meatballs, and the wine list is very good. The setting is romantic overlooking the harbor. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The prices are moderate. Stefano, the owner, is very attentive to his guests. Sapori is open
for lunch and dinner. Their website is: sapori-mdr.com
