Leash-up or be Liable

Residents have reported two serious incidents of off-leash dogs biting people in the Silver Strand Malls, in one case requiring the victim to go the Emergency Room and have stitches. In the other case, a woman was bitten on the face.  The City of Los Angeles Ordinances require that dogs be kept on leash at all times in  public places with exception of designated Dog Parks. Off-leash dogs are not only a danger to the public, but to their owners who are liable for any physical harm resulting from a dog biting a person or another dog.

Really good to get the word out. Perhaps your viewers can come up with solutions. I think we need new signs but does anyone have any out of the box ideas?………Thanks……..Nora

It is often the big dogs that are off leash.

The silver strand is not a dog park. Please be respectful of others.

Most people do not enjoy your dog as much as you do. Remember that.

    Home owner. Silver Strand.
