Los Angeles Councilman Bill Rosendahl makes first appearance at City Hall following diagnosis of Cancer

Bill Rosendahl, the 11th District City of Los Angeles Councilman who represents residents in the Silver Strand, made his first appearance at City Hall today. Rosendahl was diagnosed with cancer of the ureter in July. He was greeted with a standing ovation by the audience. Although looking thinner and using a walker, he gave a speech which was alternately moving, humorous and upbeat, thanking family, friends, constituents, colleagues and caretakers who have supported him throughout his ordeal of 13 radiation and 2 chemotherapy treatments. He announced that he will be running for a third term as Councilman and is confident that he will prevail over his illness. Cancer of the ureter is a rare disease and, if caught early, has a high survival rate.
