Unless you’re from another planet, you probably know that the 405, between Sunset and Ventura Blvds, will close over this weekend from Friday evening Sept 29 until early morning on Monday, October 1, in order to demolish the Mulholland Bridge Overpass. As we know from the last July, it will all go smoothly if everyone cooperates and stays away from the 10-mile segment of the 405 being closed. This also applies to staying away from surface streets near the closure. Eat, shop, and play locally. We did it before. We can do it again.
Here is the schedule:
1) Ramps, along the route, will start closing at 7pm on Friday, September 29.
2) Lanes will start closing at 10pm on Friday.
3) The 405 will close down completely starting at 12:01 am on Saturday, Sept 30 as follows:
a) The northbound lanes of the 405 will be closed from the 10 to the 101 freeways.
b) The southbound lanes of the 405 will be closed from the 101 to the Getty Center Drive ramps.
c) The Mulholland Bridge and Haskell Ave ramps will be closed. The northbound 101 connectors from the 405 will be closed.
The 405 is scheduled to reopen on Monday, Oct 1, 15 at 5am.
