Venice Neighborhood Council Invites Million Trees Los Angeles to The Venice Farmers’ Market For Earth Day

Venice, CA, April 17, 2014 — Free of charge, and taking place this Friday, April 18, 2014 the Venice Neighborhood Council will be onsite at the Venice Farmers’ Market at the VNC booth giving out 50 fruit trees and 50 regular trees provided by Million Trees Los Angeles, 7:30A.M. – 11:00 A.M., 500 N. Venice Blvd. Venice, CA 90291.

This tree give-away has been initiated by the Venice Neighborhood Council, and its Environmental Committee. Million Trees Los Angeles will be providing the trees and trees will be given out on a first come first serve basis.

Million Trees Los Angeles is a public-private partnership between the City of Los Angeles, local non-profit organizations, community groups, residents and businesses. MTLA’s mission is to improve Los Angeles’ urban forest and leave a living legacy for future generations of Angelenos.

MTLA is a unique hybrid organization under LA’s Board of Public Works with a non-profit 501(c)3 arm and foundation through Community Partners.
