One Hour that could Save Lives: Your Own, Your Loved Ones and Your Pets
Richard Cervantes, Chair of the SSMHOA Emergency Preparedness Committee has announced that the next Emergency Preparedness class will take place at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 1,2014 at 4401 Via Dolce [gray corner house at Via Dolce and Northstar Court]. The class lasts for one hour. This is the third educational class, led by experts, to be held on the Silver Strand. All are welcome to learn how to prepare and protect yourself and your loved ones in an earthquake or other emergency. Ask questions and learn the answers.
According to Dr. David Eisenman, Committee member, UCLA expert on disaster preparedness medicine and Science Officer, Emergency Preparedness and Response with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health:
“We know best what happens during a disaster by looking at what others have experienced in these catastrophic events. It has been proven that neighbors do help neighbors.”
