Election of Delegates to the 2015 and 2016 California Democratic Party State Convention District 62

Fourteen people will be elected to represent their Assembly district at the Democratic State Central Committee as delegates in both the 2015 and 2016 state conventions.  Delegates have an opportunity to represent their district at the grass roots level. They work to express the voice of the people they represent. The 62nd District is represented by California State Assembly member, Autumn Burke. Among those running for election as delegates, are four candidates well known to residents of the Silver Strand: Betsy Butler, former California State Assembly Member, Marcia Hanscom of the Ballona Institute , Linda Lucks, former President of the Venice Neighborhood Council and Mike Newhouse, current President of the Venice Neighborhood Council.  All are familiar with and have been supportive of the concerns of those of us who live who live south of Washington Boulevard in both Venice and Marina del Rey.  For a complete list of candidates and their statements see:

Elibility to vote: You must be a registered Democrat. You must live in District 62 (Venice, Del Rey and Marina del Rey are included). You must personally appear at the voting station during voting hours.
